Justice and Rights Institute- Nepal (JuRI Nepal), established in 2011 working as a non-profit organization and responds to the existing and emerging human rights, accountability and good governance concerns, upholding the principles of human rights, gender equality, cherishing diversity, advocating zero-tolerance of any violence, discrimination and corruption, works independence of any political influence and corporate interest. It brings together human rights professionals with an extensive experience in human rights, the rule of law, gender, inclusion, disability, and social justice. JuRI-Nepal aims to create a fair, just, and inclusive democratic society where everyone can enjoy their human rights.
JuRI- Nepal in partnership with The Asia Foundation and Judges’ Society, Nepal is implementing the project “Strengthening Intergovernmental Constitutional Dispute Settlement Mechanism and Supervisory Functions of the District Court concerning Judicial Committee Decisions” under Subnational Governance Program – Phase II. This position is based in Judges’ Society office in Babarmahal, Kathmandu.
JuRI -Nepal hereby invites applications for the below-mentioned position, from interested professionals.
Program Officer – 1 (Full Time)
Duty Station: Judges’ Society office in Babarmahal, Kathmandu with visit JuRI-Nepal, Jwagal as per need.
Duration: 11 months.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in law and International Development, Social Sciences, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in program/project management.
- Experience working with NGOs, international organizations, or government agencies.
- Working with Judiciary will be the added advantage
- Familiarity with results-based management, M&E frameworks, and donor reporting.
- Strong communication, writing, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite and program management tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment.

Project Officer will work as a responsible team member of the project for the organization. S/he will work under the direct supervision of the Executive Director. This position will take lead to prepare plan, providing logistic support, event reporting, quarterly and annual reporting and to ensure effective implementation of the project, ensuring the donor compliance.
Monthly Gross Salary: NRs. 75,996/- (including all benefits)
