CMC-Nepal Vacancy for Psychosocial Supervisor

The Centre for Mental Health and Counselling – Nepal (CMC-Nepal), a national level NGO working on mental health and psychosocial support, launches a call for applications for Psychosocial Component of Safer Migration (SaMi) Programme Phase IV.
The Phase IV (2024-2028) is a bilateral initiative of the governments of Nepal and Switzerland designed to support the consolidation of the 12 years of partnership in safer migration, the institutionalization of safer migration related services as well as the strengthening of the capacities of the three levels of government to effectively take over the complete management, financing and quality assurance of all the programme components. Helvetas Nepal provides technical assistance to the programme on behalf of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
Centre for Mental Health and Counselling-Nepal (CMC-Nepal) has been in partnership with SaMi/HELVETAS to help address psychosocial consequences resulting from labor migration. CMC-Nepal provides technical assistance to the psychosocial counsellors recruited for SaMi program.
CMC-Nepal seeks candidates for the following position.
Psychosocial Supervisor - 1 full-time position for 3 months, based in Lumbini province, Deukhuri with frequent field visits to local governments implementing SaMi) is responsible to supervise and support the psychosocial counsellors in providing psychosocial counselling services to the migrant workers and their families left behind at the field level. Supervisor is expected to support in training and continuous supervision of the psychosocial counselors at field level.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in psychology or counselling psychology or mental health social work or psychiatric nursing from recognized university with two years of experience as a psychosocial supervisor or bachelor degree in social science or any discipline with at least five years of working experiences as psychosocial supervisor or senior psychosocial counsellor in migration (with migrant workers and their families) or gender-based violence with GBV survivors under close supervision from expert clinical psychologists/ psychologists.
Having strong experience in conducting training in psychosocial counseling and supervision of psychosocial counselors, health workers, community psychosocial workers and other developmental actors
Having good comprehension and learning attitude in psychosocial interventions
Practical and strong background in supervising psychosocial counselling skills of counsellors.
Experience of working with migration will be advantage.
Experience in coordination with multi-stakeholders (GOs/I/NGOs) for the effectiveness of the service, including referral service
Good report writing and documentation skills in both English and Nepali language
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships within and outside the organization
Willing to travel extensively
Salaries and benefits: As per the project agreement between SaMi/Helvetas and CMC-Nepal
