Recovering Nepal Women (RN Women) is a National Network of women drug users and drug user-led service organizations. It was officially declared through regional and national-level consultations on 12th January 2018 among service providers and individual activists. These consultations aimed to identify issues, gaps, and ways forward to support Women Who Use Drugs (WWUDs) in Nepal. Following this process, RN Women was legally registered on 2nd January 2020 as the National Network of Women Who Use Drugs (WWUDs) in Nepal. The network is dedicated to influencing policies that improve the quality of life for WWUDs, reinstating their rights, empowering them, and mitigating the negative consequences of drug use, including blood-borne infections. RN Women strives to create an enabling environment for universal access to meaningful and gender-sensitive harm reduction services.
RN Women is incoming Sub-Recipient (SR) of United Nations Development Program (UNDP), Nepal/Global Fund for HIV/AIDS program of Women Who Inject Drugs (WWID) under GC-7 grant. Upon signing the contract with UNDP, RN Women will implement the program in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Kaski and Sunsari.
Position Title: Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer
Duration: April 2025- July 2027(Initial 3 months will be probation period)
Working Station: Kumaripati, Lalitpur
Working Hours: 9 AM – 5 PM (Monday to Friday)
Job Summary:
The Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the M&E framework for RN Women’s programs. The officer will ensure data-driven decision-making, track project progress, and report on program outcomes to improve service delivery and advocacy efforts.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Establish and maintain a framework for systematic organization and management of all project documents and outcomes.
Provide comprehensive assistance to project partners through the facilitation of training sessions and regular on-site monitoring visits, ensuring effective project implementation.
Timely collection and analysis of project data from HIV Care and ART Tracking System (DHIS2 Tracker), preparation of periodic reports that reflect the project's performance and submit to Program Coordinator.
Ensure proper documentation of program results, success stories, and best practices.
Thorough review partner’s reports and provide inputs to enhance accuracy and quality.
Develop and facilitate M&E capacity-building sessions for project staff.
Facilitate capacity-building sessions for staff on M&E best practices.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security in accordance with ethical standards.
Attend and contribute to project meetings, trainings sessions and workshops, ensuring alignment with organizational objective.
Education, Knowledge and Experience:
Bachelor Degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Statistics, Development Studies, or a related field.
A minimum of one year1 of demonstrated experience in harm reduction, HIV/AIDS programs, and in the field of monitoring, evaluation or project management with NGOs projects.
Knowledge on HIV Care and ART Tracking System (DHIS2 Tracker), Health Management Information System (HMIS) will be a plus.
Strong negotiation, coordination, communication, and interpersonal skills (diplomacy, patience) with the ability to perform multiple tasks and work under pressure.
Excellent knowledge on Microsoft package.
Strong communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
