Right4Children Vacancy for Monitoring and Evaluation Officer, Media and Communication Manager


Vacancy Announcement: 

Right4Children, a Pokhara based organization committedly involved in the areas of rights and protection, education and livelihood development of children and youth in Kaski district and other parts of the country, is looking for dynamic, qualified and experienced individuals for the following positions.

Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) Officer-1

Key responsibilities

M&E Officer will be an important member of the management team and will be responsible for designing and implementing M&E policy, framework, guidelines and activities; Research, project development and
proposal writing are also important job tasks of this position; Working in close collaboration with the project team and relevant stakeholders, M&E Officer has to monitor the project activities on a regular
basis, collect and analyze relevant data/information and prepare regular and periodic reports. Additionally, documentation and learning management will also be the key roles and functions of the position.

Required qualifications

  •  Bachelor’s degree or above preferably in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Management or relevant disciplines; however, someone with more than 3 years of experience in the related field can be
    considered even if he/she doesn’t have university degree;
  • At least 3 years of experience in the design and implementation of M&E activities;
  • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis and production of reports;
  •  Strong database management, documentation and learning management skills;
  •  Excellent communication skills, fluency in written and spoken English and Nepali;
  •  Very good proficiency and command in IT, handling and maintaining webpage and social media;
  •  Open to changes and ability to manage complexities;
  • Responds positively to critical feedback and differing points of view.

Media and Communication Manager – 1

Qualification, Experience and Social Competence:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, Journalism, Media studies or any other relevant discipline; At least 3 years of professional work experience in the field of media and communication, particularly in
    photo/videography, content development for website, handling websites and social media etc; Excellent oral and written communications skills, including writing and editing, and an ability to work
    independently. Strong Nepali and English writing skills are crucial.

Major roles and Responsibilities:

  •  Develop outreach materials to advance the visibility of R4C, its objectives, and projects both to external and internal audiences, according to the organization’s communication policy. This includes
    (but is not limited to) films, documentaries, success stories, blogs and other media contents including photo galleries, PSA, short movies etc.
  •  In close collaboration with the organization & project teams, maintain the official website page and the social media accounts with timely, relevant, and well-presented information.
  •  Gather and prepare engaging contents (photos, videos, and stories) from field visits following the standards and guidelines of the organization.
  •  Oversee content development for website and coordinate with R4C’s project teams for regular updates and to ensure organization’s branding requirements.
  •  Act as a focal person to carry out media and communication related activities of different projects and of the organization as a whole.

Salary for the positions will be based on the proven track record of experience, achievements and qualification.
