Center for Research on Environment Health and Population Activities (CREHPA) is a, not-for-profit research organization based at Lalitpur, Nepal. It is registered under Society’s Act 2034 BS, Government of Nepal as a non-governmental organization (NGO). It is also registered with the Social Welfare Council (SWC), Nepal.

CREHPA is looking efficient and dedicated Research Officer to work with its research team on a long-term basis in carrying out formative and intervention research studies in the fields of population, SRHR and gender.

Expected roles and responsibilities

Under the overall guidance and supervision of the Director/Co-Director, the Research Officer (RO) will execute the following main roles and responsibilities:

  • Review of literatures for research project(s)
  • Help to develop, review and revise the study research protocol and data collection instruments; data management, quality assurance and monitoring plans; and training materials
  • Coordinate and monitor day-to-day implementation of research activities
  • Help to recruit, hire, train and supervise the field staff
  • Track data collection efforts and prepare routine progress reports
  • Participate in quality assurance and data management activities and prepare progress reports
  • Contribute to data analysis, report-writing and articles for peer review journals for publication
  • Involve in results dissemination within and outside the country
  • Contribute to other projects, as assigned by the organization.

Minimum Educational qualification

  • Master’s Degree in Public Health or Social Sciences

Skills and Expertise

  • Minimum of 2 years of working experience in similar roles and responsibilities in any research organizations or involved in research work
  • Skills in data analysis using STATA or SPPSS or any other computer software. Analytical skills in longitudinal or panel data will have additional advantages
  • Proven writing, oral, presentation skills in English & Nepali
  • Ability to produce analytical and well-presented reports and publications. Publications in peer review journals will have additional advantages
  • Knowledgeable about administrative structure of the country and have skills to establish/strengthen cordial relationships with all levels of stakeholders and willing to travel within and outside country Nepali Citizen.
