Learning and Documentation Associate (Female)

Integrated Development Society-Nepal (IDS-Nepal) is a leading non-profit, non-governmental development organization dedicated to promoting sustainable development, social inclusion, and equity in Nepal. IDS-Nepal has grown into an independent think tank on development issues in just 24 years, in addition to completing more than 135 projects across Nepal since its inception in 2000. WASH & Community Infrastructure; School Health and Nutrition; Climate Change & Disaster Risk Management; Natural Resources Management & Agriculture; and Sustainable Livelihood, Enterprise, & Social Development are among the initiatives implemented by IDS-Nepal. In our programming, we use a systems-based approach with the goal of enhancing the lives and potential of vulnerable individuals and communities throughout Nepal.

Details/ Requirements:

IDS-Nepal seeks application from female candidates who is keen to build foundation for challenging and rewarding career through hands-on knowledge and practical experience. This is an opportunity starting immediately based at IDS-Nepal Central Office, Kathmandu with field travel.

The Learning and Documentation Associate will work for different projects reviewing progress, reporting, providing feedback/inputs, assisting in project monitoring with documentation and learning that requires working closely with Central, Provincial and District office.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure paper and digital records are arranged in a consistent

  • Prepare meeting notes, event reports and minutes of the meetings and share with concerned team

  • Assist supervisor to prepare progress report and other reporting requirements

  • Work closely with the MRE and MEAL Unit to strengthen results management and reporting

  • Support programme staff in organizing and managing seminars, workshops and produce reports

  • Regular communication and follow up for timely implementation of projects and reporting its progress

  • Support in project proposal development process by collecting relevant data and information

  • Assist in conducing study/research/assessment including project evaluations of the project

  • Support for knowledge management for developing case study/success stories

  • Support in identifying capacity needs

What you Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Environmental Science or any other relevant field

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in project management or related field

  • Good communication and report writing skills

  • Fluency in oral and written skills in English and Nepali

  • Ability and willingness to work in a team
