Job Description
Purpose of the Job:
The primary aim of this nursing role is to deliver high-quality care to patients in partnership with the healthcare team at The Leprosy Mission Nepal. This involves not only addressing the medical needs of patients but also contributing to their overall healing journey, all while aligning with the organization’s vision and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care and support healthcare teams in executing treatment plans.
- Monitor patients’ health conditions, administer medications, and accurately document patient progress.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate patients and their families on health management and treatment options.
- Ensure a safe and clean environment by adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.
- Maintain thorough documentation of patient care activities, including assessments and interventions.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
- Exhibit empathy, compassion, and professionalism in interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the line manager.
Job Specification:
- PCL Nursing Graduates from a recognized institution, registered with the Nepal Nursing Council (NMC).
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred.
- Priority will be given to candidates with experience in Operating Theater Nursing, Pediatric Nursing, or Medical-Surgical Nursing.
- Strong clinical abilities, including patient assessment, medication administration, and wound care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Proficiency in medical documentation and record-keeping.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and patient safety protocols.
