Gurkha Welfare Trust Nepal Vacancy for Driver

The Gurkha Welfare Trust Nepal (GWT(N)) is seeking qualified and interested candidates for the position of Driver at its various Area Welfare Centres (AWCs) across Nepal.

Required Qualifications/Experience and Skills:

• Minimum Qualification of SLC/SEE passed with at least 5 years of driving experience
• Must be in possession of the following and current Nepali driving licenses:

Cat A: Motorcycle.

Cat B: Car (maximum 8 passenger seats).

• Must have a particularly good understanding of road traffic accident, vehicle breakdown and
  recovery procedure
• Must be able to carry out and advise on basic documentation
• Must have good understanding of how vehicle engine works and be able to fix minor problems
•  Must be able to read, write and communicate in simple English

Job Responsibilities:

The position holder will be responsible for carrying out day-to-day driving duties including maintaining regular cleaning services for the vehicle. S/He is to assist the team for maintenance, documentation and inspections of all vehicles and motorbikes.

Remunerations:

The position falls in EG2 of our pay structure and will receive a basic salary of NPR. 52,484. All other benefits and facilities will be provided as per GWT(N) Standing Instruction. The job is offered for 3 years initially and may be extended based on need and performance.
