Required: RMEL Associate-1

1. Post information

The Research, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (RMEL) Associate will work as part of a
program who are implementing Visible Impact’s projects while gaining work experience. Thisposition is ideal for an energetic, enthusiastic, and self-driven individual with a keen interest to workin the monitoring and evaluation aspects of the project.

Reports to: Program Manager and Program Officers
Location: Kathmandu, Nepal
Duration: 1 year, with the possibility of extension depending on the performance
Post type: Full-time/ Regular

2. Duties and responsibilities

With the guidance of the Program Manager and Program Officers, the RMEL Associate will be expected to undertake the following tasks:

  1. Develop, update and strengthen the monitoring and evaluation plan, procedures and tools as per the project requirements.
  2. Support to develop action plans and strategies of the project and ensure the action plans are timely followed.
  3. Follow- up and monitor the project activities and progress towards achieving the project output.
  4. Initiate data collection and perform data analysis to review data trends and overall project performance.
  5. Visit the project sites as per the requirement based on a pre-determined schedule.
  6. Prepare and deliver progress reports monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annually as per need of the project.
  7.  Oversee and make sure that the information required for M&E and project implementation are properly collected, processed and documented.
  8. Ensure that the reporting made by the staff accurately meets the reporting deadlines and quality standards.
  9. Support team members in capturing and documenting best practices and success stories forlearning, reference, and dissemination.
  10. Support in other programmatic functions of the organization as required.

3. Key Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Public Health or relevant discipline with at least 1 year of experience in M&E.
  • Experience working in sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) and young people is preferred.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, and common data analysis software for data processing,presentation and communication.
  • Demonstrated ability to write reports, success stories, and promotional materials.
  • Must be detail-oriented.
  • Good spoken and written skills in both English and Nepali.
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with people from different backgrounds and cultures.
  • Organize and accurately complete multiple tasks by establishing priorities while taking into consideration special assignments, deadlines, available resources, and multiple reporting relationships.
