VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT
KOSHISH, National Mental Health Self-Help Organization, established in 2008, is breaking the silence and amplifying voices of persons with mental health condition and psychosocial disability for inclusion of mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) within and beyond the health system. KOSHISH promotes self-advocacy in the spirit of “NOTHING ABOUT US WITHOUT US”.
We are looking for the following positions:
1. ADVOCACY OFFICER
Number of positions: 1
Reports To: Project Coordinator
Location: Nuwakot and Rasuwa (Based in Nuwakot)
Duration: Fulltime
The Advocacy Officer will support the project coordinator in implementation of the “Improving the mental health and psychosocial well-being of vulnerable communities in Nuwakot and Rasuwa” project. S/he will coordinate with the local governments and collaborate with other likeminded organizations, OPDs, CSOs and CBOs for effective implementation of the advocacy and awareness initiatives in the project. S/he will also build the capacity of the community campaigners as well as advocacy groups in advocacy.

2. COUNSELLOR
Number of positions: 2
Reports To: Psychologist
Location: Nuwakot and Rasuwa (Based in Nuwakot)
Duration: Fulltime
Job Overview:
The counsellors, under the supervision of the psychologist, will provide counselling, support in developing necessary materials, carry out trainings and provide supervision, support and guidance to the community campaigners as part of the “Improving the mental health and psychosocial well-being of vulnerable communities in Nuwakot and Rasuwa” project.

3. PROJECT COORDINATOR
Number of Position: 1
Reports To: Senior Program Manager
Project Location: Nuwakot and Rasuwa (Based in Nuwakot)
Duration: Fulltime
Job Overview:
The Project Coordinator oversees implementation of “Improving the mental health and psychosocial well-being of vulnerable communities in Nuwakot and Rasuwa” project. S/he provides overall leadership and supervision in project implementation and quality delivery of results, ensuring donor compliances, monitoring, evaluation, and learning in close collaboration with senior management team, funding agency and the project team. S/he will manage the project team and build their capacity for effective implementation of the project. S/he will develop and maintain effective and authentic collaboration to ensure effective delivery of our project strategy; and maintain high standards and quality.

4. PSYCHOLOGIST
Number of Position: 1
Reports To: Project Coordinator
Location: Nuwakot and Rasuwa (Based in Nuwakot)
Duration: Fulltime
Job Overview:
The psychologist will provide counselling, develop necessary materials, carry out trainings and provide mentoring, supervision, support and guidance to the counselors and community campaigners in implementation of “Improving the mental health and psychosocial well-being of vulnerable communities in Nuwakot and Rasuwa” project. S/he will build capacity for quality psychosocial support, sensitization, orientation, and development of promotional materials for effective awareness raising.

Salary: Negotiable as per competence and experience
