Inclusion and Health Promotion Officer
The Inclusion and Health Promotion Officer is a position, responsible to support the project team, PNGOs and local government in the area of program coverage, reaching to the target beneficiaries, ensuring their awareness on health seeking behaviour, practice of preventive measures and support to overcome barriers to health service accessibility and service utilization. The incumbent works closely with the project team and partners in the process of planning, implementation, monitoring, and advocacy on project approaches of LNOB, Gender Equality and Social Inclusion, including Disability Inclusive Development (DID) across project scope. S/he is required to work in close coordination and maintain good working relationships with Municipalities, Health Office, and other stakeholders in project implementing areas and contribute to the integration of NTDs with Primary Health Care at PHCC, HFs and FCHV level. S/he is expected to play role in ensuring the sensitiveness towards women and girls, Persons with Disabilities & most marginalized group of people while planning & implementing project activities throughout the project management cycle. In order to deliver quality support to the project team, s/he will continuously update his/her knowledge base and skills in consultation with Project Manager, Head of Programs and Country Coordinator.
Required qualifications and experience
Master’s degree in public health with work experience in community based maternal and neonatal health, sound understanding about the inclusive development (Gender, disability, and social inclusion)
Or bachelor’s in nursing (or related) with work experience in community-based health program, and concept of inclusive development.
3-5 years of relevant experience in community-based health programs focused on MNH and other essential health issues.
Good knowledge and understanding about and National Health System in Federal context in Nepal.
Skills and experience in training facilitation, coaching, community mobilization and empowerment.
Skills and experience in data analysis and report writing/documentation in English and Nepali.
Excellent computer skills and applications: MS Office Package
Must possess good interpersonal skills and a good team player
Exhibit strong leadership and decision-making skills
Demonstrated personal integrity and confidentiality
