The Youth Acting for Change Nepal (YAC Nepal) is a non-political and non-profit making social development organization. This organization was established in 2057 BS (2000 AD) by dedicated young professionals with extensive experience in the field of social development. It was registered in the District Administration Office, Kailali, on the 26th of Ashoj, 2061 BS (12th October 2004) as per Organization Registration Act, 2034 BS and affiliated with Social Welfare Council, with registration number 16923, as per the Social Welfare Act, 2049 BS and has been working in Sudurpaschim province of Nepal since 2004 with focus on promotion of Human Right to Food, improving livelihood of poor vulnerable and socially excluded people through community led action for Governance and justice.

In consortium with CARE Nepal, iDE Nepal and MAP International, YAC Nepal is going to implement the Mother and Child Wellbeing (MCW) project in partnership with CARE Nepal in five municipalities and rural municipalities (Kailari and Janaki Rural Municipality and Bhajani, Ghodaghodi and Godawari Municipality) of Kailali district  leveraging the extensive technical and managerial expertise in executing food, nutrition, health, water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH), market systems, and Gender Equality and Social Inclusion (GESI) sectors.

Observing the concern raised related to the recruitment process of WASH Facilitator position (Job code # 08/YACN/080/81), for which the vacancy published on 18 June 2024, the board of YAC Nepal has canceled the entire recruitment process and decided to announce re-vacancy on same position. Therefore, YAC Nepal invites application from the deserving candidate for the following position for Mother and Child Wellbeing (MCW) Project who meets the detailed criteria.

Qualification and Experience

• At least Pre-diploma in civil engineering (Sub-overseer)/CMA /ANM or other relevant discipline with three years' experience in Water, Sanitation and hygiene, Nutrition and WASH system development.
• Should have sound knowledge of GoN policies and protocols on WASH/ Drinking water policies.
• Good training skills and demonstrates ability to communicate well with Government Officials, Stakeholders.
• Demonstrates understanding of GESI's working areas, including social behavior modification, social norms, and campaigns. 
• Team oriented leadership with good delegation, management and organization of training program
• Good negotiation, coordination and communication skills and Knowledge of local languages and dialects will be a credit.
• Ability to design and implement WASH programs to guarantee access to clean drinking water, sanitation facilities, and hygiene habits.
• Has ability to develops and encourages new and adopt innovation in the program solutions
• Valid Motorbike license is preferred.

Preferred Requirement: Candidate from target district, previous experience with YAC Nepal, CARE/iDE Projects.
