Soiya Mahila Swabalambi Sanstha (SMSS) is a nonprofit organization focused on inclusive education, agriculture, governance and child protection. SMSS is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator and Part time Accountant to lead the "Girl’s First Fund" project, focusing on empowering girls to combat social evils like child marriage. This role involves working with young girls and boys, parents, community stakeholders and partner organizations.

Contract Duration: 2 years
Employment Type: Full-time for Project Coordinator
Responsibilities for Project Coordinator:
- Lead and manage the "Girl’s First Fund" project.
- Empower young girls and boys to fight against child marriage.
- Engage and mobilize parents and community stakeholders.
- Conduct training and awareness sessions.
- Coordinate with the municipality and partner organizations.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress.
- Prepare and submit reports.
Qualifications and Experience for Project Coordinator:
- Education: Bachelor's degree related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in relevant field.
- Strong knowledge of project management principles and methodologies.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
- Strong writing and reporting skills.
- Fluent in Nepali and English both written and spoken.
- Proven IT skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoints etc.
- Maintain accurate financial records and ledgers.
- Prepare and manage project budgets and financial forecasts.
- Process invoices, payments and reimbursements.
- Conduct regular financial audits and reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations.
- Support project staff with financial management and reporting.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and accounting principles.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Fluent in Nepali and English both written and spoken.
- Proven IT skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoints etc.
