 Communication Officer 

1. Position Overview: 

The Communication Officer is responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies, creating engaging content across various platforms, and managing the organization's public relations efforts. 

2. Key Responsibilities: 

a) Content Strategy and Creation: 

- Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with organizational goals 

- Create high-quality, engaging content for various platforms (website, social media, newsletters, etc.) 

- Write and edit articles, blog posts, press releases, and other marketing materials 

- Produce multimedia content, including videos, infographics, and podcasts 

- Ensure consistency in brand voice and messaging across all content 

-Travel to field and engage with stakeholders for meaningful content creation according to project activities 

b) Social Media Management: 

- Manage and grow the organization's social media presence across relevant platforms 

- Develop and schedule social media posts 

- Monitor social media trends and adjust strategies accordingly 

- Engage with followers and respond to inquiries in a timely manner

c)Influencers Engagement: 

-Engage and build good rapport with influencers for content creation across all social media platforms 

-Develop communication plans for positive engagement of influencers in organization’s visibility 

d) Public Relations: 

- Develop and maintain relationships with media contacts 

- Write and distribute press releases 

- Coordinate media interviews and public appearances for organizational representatives 

f) Analytics and Reporting: 

- Monitor and analyze the performance of social media 

- Prepare regular reports on social media metrics  

- Provide recommendations for improving social media strategies based on data insights 

3. Qualifications: 

a) Education: 

- Bachelor's degree in communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field  

b) Experience: 

- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in content creation, communications, or a related field 

- Proven track record of developing successful communication strategies 

- Experience with content creation and social media management 

c) Skills: 

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

- Strong creativity and ability to generate innovative ideas 

- Proficiency in content management systems and social media platforms 

- Basic graphic design and video editing skills 

6. Work Environment: 

Frequent travel may be required.
