CMC-Nepal Vacancy for Program Coordinator

Centre for Mental Health and Counselling – Nepal (CMC-Nepal), an NGO working in the field of mental health and psychosocial support, is inviting applications for the following position in time sharing basis in the project called Integration of child and adolescent mental health services in primary health care in Karnali Province, Nepal in funding support of UNICEF-Nepal. This project aims to integrate child and adolescent mental health into the primary health care system of Birendranagar, Bheriganga, Gurbhakot and Panchapuri Municipality of Surkhet district.
It therefore seeks candidates for the following positions:
1. Program Coordinator- 1 full-time position, based in CMC-Nepal’s Provincial Office, Surkhet with field visits to project locations) is responsible to plan, implement, monitor and reporting of the project activities and extend coordination and collaboration with local government, provincial government and provincial hospitals and other concerned stakeholders for the effective implementation of the project. Project Coordinator is expected to provide technical and project management support to the project team members in implementation of project activities at local level.
Requirements:
Master’s degree in Psychology or Counselling Psychology or Social Work or Psychiatric Nursing or any relevant field from recognized university with least 5 years working experience in community based mental health and psychosocial support program and project management
Having strong competence in project management, leadership, networking and coordination
Practical and strong background in supervising project team members in mental health and psychosocial perspective of children and adolescent will be advantage for the post.
Having good comprehension and learning attitude in mental health, psychosocial interventions and disability inclusion
Experience in coordination with multi-stakeholders (GOs/I/NGOs/hospitals) for the effective implementation of the project activities and integration of child and adolescent mental health into the primary health care system
Good report writing, documentation and communication skills in both English and Nepali language
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and establish harmonious and effective working relationships within and outside the organization
Willing to be based in Surkhet and travel extensively in the project locations
Salaries and benefits: As per signed project agreement with UNICEF-Nepal.
