People Promote Center (PPC), Dhanusha is a nonprofit, non-government, and nonpolitical Humanitarian development organization of Madhesh Province. It is registered in Dhanusha and is affiliated with Social Welfare Council, Nepal. The core working themes of the organization are education, WASH, DRR, Health, governance and advocacy and gender issues. The organization's target groups include children, girls, adolescents, women, youth, and people with disability and other marginalized groups. The organization has been working with development organizations (I/NGOs), private sectors and local governments. To implement its current project on education PPC is looking for qualified, dynamic and self-motivated Nepali citizens for the following positions.

Monitoring and Documentation Officer - 1

Location: PPC office, Janakpurdham 1, Dhanusha.

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in development studies, social science or a relevant field with 3 years of relevant experience in monitoring and documentation field or Master's degree in development studies, social science or a relevant field with 2 year of professional experience inmonitoring and documentation field.

Training or certification in Monitoring and Evaluation, Research, and documentation will be an advantage.

Experience

A) Monitoring Programme Effectiveness:

  • Familiarize with the programme document, results matrix and the budget and work closely with the programme and finance team including UNICEF Nepal to develop and implement SESP monitoring and evaluation (M/E) framework.

  • Work closely with provincial and local government, schools, communities, and field-based colleagues to collect and analyze relevant data and information to monitor programme progress and achievements. Identify the areas of improvement and recommend for corrective actions.

  • Facilitate joint monitoring and high-level missions.

B) Enhancing Programme Quality

  • Develop and implement effective monitoring and evaluation framework to get information on programme inputs, outputs, outcomes, and impact.

  • Identify, document, and share key results, issues and challenges, lessons learned, and best practices.

  • Collect raw case studies/human interest stories, verify the information, and finalize and share with Technical

  • Specialist-Education and Programme Manager on monthly basis.

  • Strengthen the capacity of programme team, local governments, schools and other stakeholders on results- based planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting.

C) Transparency and Accountability

  • Collect/compile disaggregated information from the field and other relevant sources, prepare event reports, progress report (monthly, quarterly, and annual) and submit it to programme manager for finalization. Manage to disseminate such reports to UNICEF and stakeholders as per the approved communication plan.

  • Ensure proper documentation of programme activities, which is essential for maintaining transparency and accountability.

  • Provide technical, coordination and information management support to education in emergency response including operationalization of education clusters in case of emergency.

Other skills and competencies required

  1. Excellent analytical skills and the ability to summarize information, clearly and concisely.

  2. Excellent data collection and report writing skills. Experience in using data visualization tools and use of data collection platforms will be highly appreciated.

  3. 3Documentation of case studies, issues and challenges, events, process, and activities.

  4. Ability to develop project implementation plans and monitoring and evaluation framework.

  5. Strong interpersonal skills to work in harmony with diverse team.

  6. Excellent (reading and writing) in Nepali and English languages. Good understanding of local languages of Madhesh province (Maithili, Bhojpuri, Bajika etc.) will be an advantage.

  7. Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office packages.

Selection Process:
