VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

Integrated Development Society-Nepal (IDS-Nepal) is a leading non-profit, non-governmental development organization dedicated to promoting sustainable development, social inclusion, and equity in Nepal. IDS-Nepal has grown into an independent think tank on development issues in just 23 years, in addition to completing more than 135 projects across Nepal since its inception in 2000. WASH & Community Infrastructure; School Health and Nutrition; Climate Change & Disaster Risk Management; Natural Resources Management & Agriculture; and Sustainable Livelihood, Enterprise, & Social Development are among the initiatives implemented by IDS-Nepal. In our programming, we use a systems-based approach with the goal of enhancing the lives and potential of vulnerable individuals and communities throughout Nepal. Integrated Development Society-Nepal (IDS-Nepal) is a strategic partner for School Health and Nutrition Program component managed by World Food Programme (WFP) and funded by United States Department of Agriculture (USDA)under McGovern – Dole International Food for Education and Child Nutrition Programme (2024 - 2028). IDS-Nepal is now seeking applications for various positions from qualified and experienced Nepali citizens for this new programme component - School Health and Nutrition.

Project Manager: One (1)

Duration: July 2024 – September 2025 (possibility of renewal based on performance)

Duty Station: Sudurpaschim Province, Dhangadhi

Qualification and Competency

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Health Science & Nutrition, Social Sciences, Development Studies or relevant discipline

  •   Minimum 5 years of professional work experience in managing   Health and Nutrition Programmes based at province or cluster.

  •   Sound knowledge on SHN and related programme and policies

  •   Demonstrate strong negotiation skills on policy related issues

  •   Shares knowledge and best practices on technical solutions so that other can make the best use

  •   Has ability to adopt innovation in the program

  •   Proficiency in writing technical and programmatic reports preferably in English that document program directions and results

  • Ø  Strong interpersonal communication, coordination skills and team management

  • Ø  Valid Motorbike license is required

Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer: One (1)

Duration: July 2024 – September 2025 (possibility of extension on the basis of performance)

Duty Station: Sudurpaschim Province, Dhangadhi

Qualification and Competency

  •   Master's degree in one of the disciplines: Statistic, Data Science, Public health, Social Science, Development Studies or any relevant subject

  •   Minimum 5 years of professional work experience in programme / project monitoring and evaluation

  •   Strong working knowledge in programme monitoring, evaluation and learning approaches.

  •   Strong knowledge and understanding on logical frameworks and MEAL plans

  •   Experience in data management including designing data collection instruments, managing data collection, data storage, analysis and report preparation

  •   Strong analytical and research skills 

  •   Ability to multi-task with conflicting priorities in multicultural environments

  • Ø  Strong in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Access and SPSS or other database and data analysis software

  • Ø  Valid Motorbike license is required

District Project Coordinator: Three (3)

Duration: July 2024 – September 2025 (possibility of extension on the basis of performance)

Duty Station: District Headquarter (Bajhang, Bajura and Darchula)

Qualification and Competence

  •   Bachelors degree in Public health, Health science, Social Sciences, Development Studies or relevant discipline. Master degree preferred

  •   Minimum 5 years of professional work experience in managing relevant Health and Nutrition Programmes

  •   Strong team mobilization and management skills with good interpersonal skills

  •   Ability to function as a self-starter with limited supervision

  •   Knowledge and experience using MS-Office packages, email and the internet

  •   Excellent verbal and written communication including both in Nepali and  English

  •   Has ability to develops and encourages new and adopt innovation in the program solutions

  •   Good analytical skills, and experience with program oversight

  •   Knowledge and experience in program management and data management

  • Ø  Practical experience in facilitation and negotiation skills with government counterparts/stakeholders at different levels

  • Ø  Valid Motorbike license is required

Technical Associate: Thirty (30)

Duration: July 2024 – September 2025 (possibility of extension on the basis of performance)

Duty Station: To be stationed nearby Paalika office (Bajhang, Bajura and Darchula)

Qualification and Competence

  •   Intermediate level in any discipline. Bachelors degree preferred

  •   Minimum 3 years of professional work experience at palika level relevant to Health and Nutrition Programmes

  •   Sound knowledge and skills on local level planning and project activity implementation

  •   Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively

  •   Fluency in Nepali and local language

  •   Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point including email and internet)

  • Ø  Has ability to develops and encourages new and adopt innovation in the program solutions

  • Ø  Valid Motorbike license is required
