We works for Child Rights and Governance,WASH, Education, Health, Water and Sanitation, Food Security, Livelihood, Youth Empowerment, Women Empowerment, Social Security, DRR/Resilience and Climate Change.

Everest Club (EC), Dailekh with the partnership of CARE Nepal, iDE Nepal and consortium partner MAP International is going to implement “Mother and Child Wellbeing (MCW) project in Aathabis Municipality, Thatikandh Rural Municipality, Bhagawatimai Rural Municipality, Gurans Rural Municipality and Dungeshwor Rural Municipality of Dailekh District from July 2024. Under the project, Everest Club (EC) Dailekh hereby invites applications from suitable and qualified, dynamic and motivated Nepalese citizens for the following positions:

Jobs Description of Health Officer

Number of Position: - 1 (One)

Location of the Post: Head Office, Everest Club Dailekh

Reporting to: Project Coordinator (MCW Project)

Position to be supervised: NA

Field: Aathabis Municipality, Thatikandh RM, Bhagawatimai RM, Gurans RM and Dungeshwor RM of Dailekh District

Key roles and responsibilities

  • Provide close and continuous support to implement Care Nepal and IDE supported projects including capacity building training for a service provider, HFOMC strengthening and community-level advocacy. 

  • Identify program needs and the logistics at health facilities and ensure timely delivery at the designated local health facilities. 

  • Provide support in implementing Care Nepal and IDE supported facility and community level training/orientation activities in the district, rural/urban municipality level and community level

  • Provide technical support visits to, health workers and FCHVs with a special focus on the quality of services and capacity building on data collection, reporting, recording and clinical skills. 

  • Frequent field visits to facilitate the implementation process, training, and program follow-up and to collect routine data (annual, quarterly and monthly) from health facilities and communities.

  • Conduct monitoring visits of the health facilities, nursing staff, FCHVs, and clients and provide necessary feedback

  • Keep a proper record of all the activities in the given form and formats and report on time in the specified time period

  • Mapping local government in the program district and collecting routine data from health facilities and communities in its catchment areas.

  • Any other job assigned by the Supervisor.

Project Reporting and documentation

  • Provide support in building sound relationships with Health Office & other relevant district level offices, urban/rural municipality offices, program focal person, health facility staff, community stakeholders and female community health volunteers in order to maintain program schedule and achieve program deliverables at the field level 

  • Coordinate to ensure logistics and daily activities in all program locations.

  • Participate, represent and co-ordinate at the district, urban/rural municipality, facility level and community level 

  • Work together with the supervisor to conduct the performance review and development plan annually. 

  • Contribute to preparing regular progress reports, technical deliverables, presentations, and district work plans

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual progress report.

Required skill, experience, and knowledge

  • At least bachelor degree in public health or nutrition or any other relevant discipline with three year of previous experience in a related field.

  • Experience managing and monitoring projects implemented in remote locations.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing diverse teams, building, and maintaining strong relationships with the organization, project team, local government, and other stakeholders.

  • Outstanding communications and networking skills.

  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Experience letter and copy of appointment letter.

  • Updated CV with two personal references

  • Two wheeler license is mandatory for the candidates applying for Officer Level
