DCWC Community Hospital lies in Nagre Gagarche, Chaurideurali - 2, Rural Municipality, Rajbash in Kavre District of Nepal. It is 15 beds Hospital and in operation since 2010. It has good number of medical staffs lead by Medical Doctor and well equipped with X-ray, Lab Facilities, Pharmacy, 24 hour Emergency, OPD and In Patient services. In addition 24/7 Ambulance Service. The extension and improvement plans are still in progress.

Among many VDCs of the Kavre district, the Nagre Gagarche VDC is one of the most remote of the district and is a junction of Sindhupalchok, Dolakha and Ramechhap districts.

Other Specification

  • Completion of an accredited Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) program.

  • Valid registration and certification from the relevant Nursing Council.

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in midwifery or maternal and child health services with SBA.

  • Experience in community health settings is preferred.

  • Proficiency in midwifery skills including antenatal, intranatal, and postnatal care.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team and under minimal supervision.

  • Empathy and ability to provide compassionate care.

  • Basic knowledge of healthcare management and documentation.

  • Ability to educate and counsel patients and their families on healthcare practices.

  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and moving patients.

Job Description

  • Conduct regular antenatal check-ups and monitor the health of expectant mothers.

  • Educate pregnant women about nutrition, hygiene, and prenatal care.

  • Identify high-risk pregnancies, assist in labor and delivery and refer to higher medical facilities when necessary.

  • Monitor the vital signs of the mother and the newborn during delivery.

  • Conduct regular postnatal visits to monitor the health of the mother and the newborn, and provide guidance on breastfeeding, newborn care, and family planning.

  • Educate the community about maternal and child health, family planning, and nutrition and conduct health awareness programs and workshops.

  • Administer vaccinations to infants and children as per the national immunization schedule.

  • Maintain accurate immunization records.

  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records.

  • Participate in data collection for health surveys and research projects.

  • Participate in community health initiatives and outreach programs.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and community workers to enhance health services.

  • Provide first aid and emergency care as needed.

  • Assist in the management of obstetric emergencies until further medical help is available.

  • Attend training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance skills and knowledge.

  • Stay updated with the latest practices and developments in midwifery and maternal health.

  • Assist in other hospital activities and perform additional tasks as assigned by the Head Nurse or Nursing Supervisor.
