Position: Field Officer
Terms: Full term
Duty station: Nawalparasi West and Dang 
Reports to: Project Coordinator

Overall Responsibilities: 

The position is responsible for ensuring Helen Keller International’s best practices are upheld, including adherence to the code of conduct, policies and procedures, financial accountability and making sure official matters are kept confidential. 

Ensuring quality is a primary objective of Helen Keller International’s programming and monitoring and evaluation oversight is a requirement to achieve the best outcomes possible.

As gender and social inclusion (GESI) is a cross-cutting and core component for Helen Keller International programs, all personnel are required to ensure GESI sensitivity and integration where they work. 

Specific Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Field Officer should coordinate with Health Office and Municipalities for the smooth implementation of project activities.

  • S/He should provide technical support to partner NGOs, health facilities to implement project activities.

  • Providing administrative support to the Project Coordinator and assist in the overall management of the project activities is a must and should help with program planning, scheduling, and documentation, ensuring that program activities are well-organized and executed.

  • Must facilitate communication among program stakeholders, including team members, partners, and external parties. They schedule and coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and ensure that relevant information is shared in a timely manner.

  • Should assists on preparing program reports, compilation, and communication of program status to Project Coordinator.

  • Communicating with the implementing partner on implementation modality, quality, and timely delivery of project activities is a must.

  • The position holder must coordinate with program team members and provide support as needed. 

  • Provide training and capacity building to partner and local stakeholders to execute project activities.

  • Working closely with NGO partners to mobilize Field Coordinator, Data Management Officer and Community Mobilizers.    

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Educational Degree:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in public health: having Health Assistant background would be preferred.

  • Experiences and other competencies:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in nutrition/health sectors at district level especially in the management of acute malnutrition

  • Prior work experiences in respective district, province will be given priority

  • NGO partner mobilization and community mobilization

  • Good Nepali and English communication skills (oral and written)

  • Priority will be given to the person from Lumbini Province.
