ANSAB is a civil society organization that has been working for biodiversity conservation and livelihoods improvement across South Asia for three decades. It places community empowerment and economic incentives at the heart of its approach, and has been consistently evolving, consolidating, institutionalizing and advancing the approaches and strategies for the promotion of community-based enterprises and value chains, natural resources management and biodiversity conservation, enabling policy environment and multi-stakeholders.
ANSAB is currently seeking qualified, dynamic and result oriented persons for the following positions for a project entitled "Scaling conservation of Himalayan plants and Fungi through sustainable trade", funded by the UK Government through Darwin Initiative, to be implemented in ten Himalayan districts of Nepal.
POSITION: ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER
Duty station: Kathmandu with frequent visit to field offices
Duration: 5 years, with six months' probation period
Required number: 1
Administrative Officer will responsible for the efficient and effective general administration of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Support to carry out the day-to-day activities of the general administration of the project.
Assist in soliciting quotations and procuring office supplies and fixed assets.
Support for inventory management and record keeping of all fixed assets, insurance of assets, periodic physical verification and ensure for repair & maintenance.
Ensure legal compliance, incl. SWC requirements, Taxation, and donor requirements.
Support to conduct project’s recruitment process, conduct initial induction to newly joined employee/consultants.
Maintain expert rosters, personnel files, transfers, terminations, staff contracts, staff timesheets, leaves records and staff insurances.
Provide logistic arrangement, vehicle management and national/international flight reservations.
Provide periodic operational reports and support for internal audits, project audits and year end audit.
Qualification and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management or equivalent with 4 years of experience or Master’s degree in a related field with 2 years’ experience.
Knowledge and background in general administration including logistic, procurement & inventory management and human resource management.
Proven skills to work with the MS office and software application.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, good team player and able to work in diversified team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and Nepali.
