Right4Children is a Pokhara-based NGO dedicated in improving the lives of disadvantaged children, youth and their families. We are looking for dynamic, qualified, and experienced persons for the following positions.
Position: Researcher (Consultant) - Situation Analysis of the Adult Entertainment Sector (AES) and AES Workers in Pokhara
Location: Pokhara, Nepal
Duration: 3 Months (Starting from date of contract signing)
The Adult Entertainment Sector (AES) in Nepal is undergoing significant transformation, driven by technological advancements and evolving societal attitudes. To gain deeper insights into this changing industry and to inform strategic and policy decision-making, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Researcher (Consultant) to conduct comprehensive situation analysis.
Kry Responsibilities:
- Conduct a thorough literature review to understand trends in the Adult Entertainment Sector of Pokhara.
- Collect primary data through interviews, surveys, and focus group discussions with industry stakeholders.
- Analyze the collected data to identify patterns, gaps, and emerging issues within the AES.
- Assess the socio-economic impact of the AES on various stakeholders.
- Examine existing regulatory frameworks and propose areas for improvement.
- Develop actionable recommendations to enhance the sustainability, safety, and inclusivity of the AES.
- Advanced degree in a relevant field such as development studies, economics, sociology, or public policy, or a related field.
- Proven experience in researching sensitive or controversial sectors, preferably including the adult entertainment industry.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
