Amics del Nepal is a NGDO (non-profit non-governmental development organization), born in 1995 with the main objective of helping and supporting the most underprivileged communities of Nepal. The strategies of cooperation are focused on the support programs for youth, children and women, directly or in collaboration with Nepalese organizations, working in the fields of education, health and livelihood.

  • Education level: Masters (preferred) Bachelors (required)

  • Professional Skill Required: Program management, Program monitoring and evaluation, Workshop facilitation, Grant writing, Networking

OTHER SPECIFICATION

  • Preferred - Masters in Management, or Social Science subjects such as Social Work, Development Studies, Education;

  • Sound written and verbal English and Nepali communication skills;

  • Good leadership and interpersonal skills;

  • Good computer skills;

  • Ability to develop external communication reports, curriculum and lesson plans, donor justification reports.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Expansion Program (EP) consists of four projects:
i) EP1: Women Hub (WH)
ii) EP2: Himalayan Economic Upliftment (HE)
iii) EP3: School Collaboration (SC)
iv) EP4: International Exchange & Solidarity

With regard to the EP1 Women Hub project (expansion of the current AN Women Program), the employee will

  • Supervise and support the WLP officer where necessary in achieving project deliverables.

  • Support in designing the training and workshop frameworks, criteria, and all required networks and resources to enable launching of the AN Women Empowerment Grant.

  • Support in facilitating the training workshops/sessions.

With regard to the EP2 Himalayan Economic Upliftment project (expansion of the current AN Youth Program), the employee will

  • Support where feasible, and based on availability to meet the project’s media and research needs (interviews, surveys).

  • Support in launching a pilot study by the end of 2024 where feasible.

With regard to the EP3 School Collaboration project (expansion of the current AN Children Program) which is to be implemented in four government schools from the new academic year 2024/25 (2081 BS), the employee will

  • Develop the final School Collaboration curriculum, project timeline, budget, M&E framework, and make all resources available for timely implementation (Dec-Apr).

  • Ensure proper documentation of all key stakeholders under the School Collaboration project, and all key materials and resources including curriculum required to develop, implement and evaluate the project are done in a timely manner.

  • Ensure maximum stakeholder engagement in all phases of the project’s value chain following the objectives of #OpenInnovationPlatform.

  • Identify and establish contact with the fourth school in Lalitpur district to participate in the 2024/25 academic year (Dec-Mar).

  • Sign agreements with all participating schools (Apr-May).

  • Implement planned School Collaboration workshops in all four participating schools (May-Sep).

  • Conduct monitoring and evaluation of the School Collaboration project implementation.

  • Collaborate with (international) volunteers as per capacity and availability to increase the quality of the School Collaboration workshops.

  • Prepare project reports (internal, external), donor justification reports and communication materials for the project.

  • Establish networks and develop collaboration with educational and learning communities to increase the quality and growth of the project and its visibility to external stakeholders.

With regard to the EP4 International Exchange & Solidarity project, the employee will

  • Prepare/ensure all relevant materials necessary to conduct annual talks and presentations of program updates and justifications in City Halls, among donor parties, and relevant stakeholder groups are made available.
