Post: Program Officer: Champions of Change Package Contextualization (A social Behavior Change Communication Package)

Skill Information Society Nepal (SISo Nepal) established in 2003, a national level non-governmental, non-political and non-profit making organization is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Program Officer for Contextualization of English Modules developed for Social Behavior Change Communication to develop competency among adolescent and young people of diverse society of Nepal; into Nepali language including adaptation and development of new modules on DRR, WASH and climate change.

key responsibilities:

  • The key responsibilities but not limited to contextualization (translation of English document into Nepali language, develop contextualized modules into Nepali language), facilitate finalization workshop, revise incorporating feedback received from the reviewer/experts ensuring alignment while addressing local in close collaboration with the Sr Program Officer/Program Coordinator, Program Director and other project team.
  • Work in collaboration with donor agency, partners and beneficiaries to ensure project activities are culturally appropriate, inclusive, and sustainable.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation (M&E) tools and strategies when necessary to track progress and measure impact, build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Represent the project and organization professionally in public settings.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Health. Minimum 3 years of experience in program development, implementation, and/or monitoring and evaluation in the public health sector. Preferred Master's degree in Public Health. Experience working in a similar project context. Similarly, strongunderstanding of participatory methodologies and community engagement, excellent communication,interpersonal, and organizational skills is desired. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent proficiency in Nepali and English is mandatory including Nepali typing.
Contract Details: Seven-month contract with the possibility of renewal based on performance.
